About the Modified Consent Decree Reports
As mandated by the Modified Consent Decree, one of the central tasks of our office is to approve an Annual Plan designed by the District to make progress toward the achievement of the outcomes required by Modified Consent Decree. The Independent Monitor shall also conduct at least one hearing each year to hear from parents and other interested persons about the District's compliance with special education laws. Following the hearing, the Independent Monitor shall present a written report to the Superintendent and Board of Education concerning the progress and effectiveness of the implementation of the terms and conditions of the Modified Consent Decree.
